Offshore development center in Bangladesh: your engineering team, our office

A dedicated software engineering unit in Dhaka — recruited, employed, housed and administered by Nexus Payroll — from 8 seats at an all-in seat fee of USD 690 per month.

What is an offshore development center in Bangladesh?

An offshore development center (ODC) in Bangladesh is a dedicated engineering team that works exclusively for one foreign company from a provider-run office in Dhaka. The provider recruits and employs the engineers, supplies workspace, IT and a delivery lead, and administers HR and payroll, while the client owns the roadmap, the code and the intellectual property.

Bangladesh produces roughly 30,000 IT-related graduates a year and hosts a growing base of English-speaking engineers in Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript and mobile stacks, at salary levels well below India's tier-one cities. The constraint for foreign companies has never been talent; it has been the absence of a trusted local operator. Nexus Payroll's ODC model supplies that operator: the Employer of Record layer for compliant employment, plus office space at Gulshan Avenue and Banani 11, managed devices, a delivery lead and HR operations, under one seat fee.

What is included in the ODC seat fee?

The all-in seat fee covers recruitment, Nexus employment and payroll, a dedicated desk in a client-only area, managed laptop and monitors, client-segmented network and VPN, power backup, a delivery lead for teams of eight or more, HR operations, statutory benefits administration and monthly reporting. Salaries above the agreed band, cloud costs and travel are billed at cost.

Offshore development center FAQ

Who owns the code and IP produced in the ODC?

You do. Every engineer's employment contract assigns all work product, inventions and know-how to the client, and confidentiality survives termination. Nexus Payroll acquires no rights in the code. Repositories, cloud accounts and licences stay in your name; our IT team only provisions devices and network access to your standards.

How is data security handled in the ODC office?

Dedicated, access-controlled space with client-only network segments, managed laptops with full-disk encryption and MDM, no local admin rights, and your own VPN or zero-trust client installed on every device. Physical security includes badge access, CCTV in common areas and a clean-desk policy. We align to your ISO 27001 or SOC 2 control set on request.

Can we visit and interview engineers in person?

Yes, and we recommend it. The ODC offices in Gulshan and Banani have meeting rooms for client visits, and we host on-site interview days for senior hires. Business visas for short visits are straightforward; if you later station a lead engineer in Dhaka, our expatriate service handles the work permit.
